Meet Lisa Bower, the "Dirty Girl" behind Dirty Dog Live.

A good friend told me that I would someday find my "thing". Well, I discovered my "thing" is photography and computer graphics. Add to that my love of great music, live band performances, interesting and unusual people, and this website was born.

Dirty Dog Live is very active in the community, and to date we have helped raise over $31,000 in cash and donations for various non-profit organizations. We assist clubs and bands with bookings, help organize events, and will match up the perfect band for your party or event.

Among the many things I do in a day, I am the Promotions Director for
Jake Banta of Jake's Blues at www.jakesblues.net and also his website designer and the photographer for his site.

A Graphic Artist and Website Designer, I also design T-Shirts, CD covers, posters, advertisement layouts, brochures, and just about anything else.

I am a
lso on the board of directors at Meadville Council on the Arts, and a member of the Keystone Riders motorcycle organization.

I am always animal advocate and recently resigned my position on the board of directors for Hog Heaven Rescue Farm, Inc, after having served 5 years.

Dirty Dog Live is working hard to bring your talent to the public eye through this website and through referrals to people looking to hire local talent, and assisting with bookings for bands and musical artists.

I encourage all artists and musicians to join MCA and work together to keep the arts alive and prosperous in our area.

I hope you have as much fun here as I am having bringing the
Dirty Dog Live website to you, and I hope to see you out there soon!

Don Bower is my genius. In the 13 years we've been married, I have learned there's not much Don can't do, and do extremely well. He's is a constant help to me when things become too technical, or when I need that "over the top" push in the right direction.

Don earns his living as a metalcrafter, from precision machining to fine gold baubles as a custom jeweler. You can see some of his jewelry designs by clicking HERE.

He enjoys motorcycles, and he and I ride together when we're not taking care of the
Dirty Dog. :) Don's daughter is all grown up and lives in New Mexico. We miss her very much.
The Dirty Dog!
The Dirty Dog is a Wirehaired Pointing Griffon.
He is a rescue dog who found his way into our home and our hearts.
WPGs are bred as hunting dogs, but make excellent family pets. The only hunting
Dirty Dog does in this family is when he's hunting for his favorite rawhide treats which he likes to hide under the sofa, or a new stuffed animal to un-stuff and spread around the house.
Please take a moment to go to www.dogsdeservebetter.org and take action to improve the quality of life for chained, abused and neglected dogs in the United States. Tell them you saw it here on Dirty Dog Live!

In loving memory of "Joey", who passed on October 15, 2009.

Joey was a Dalmatian mix. He was a rescue dog. He was chained to a doghouse, and the owners moved away and left him there to die a slow death of starvation and dehydration. He was rescued, and eventually he came to live with us. He was the perfect friend and companion to Don and I for about 14 years. He even has his own website, SpottyDawg.com, which you can see HERE.

In loving memory of our beloved baby "Jake" who passed away from heart failure on
July 23, 2007. Jake was a Great Dane. Great Danes grow very quickly and unfortunately have a very short life expectancy. Jake was only six and a half years old.

Jake loved toys and played like a puppy all of his life. He was a very happy and friendly guy.

Jake never had a bad day, was spoiled and very much loved, and is tremendously missed by our family.

The newest addition to the family, meet Reilly. Reilly was adopted from a
Great Dane rescue in Pittsburgh. Great Danes are often given up by owners who do not understand the needs of the breed, or who just didn't realize how large these dogs grow. While giants, they are generally very gentle and loving dogs, who are also quick to protect their families. Great Danes have a very short life expectancy, and while those years are often too short, they can be wonderful. Please consider adopting from a rescue rather than a purchasing a pet from a breeder. Many animals are put to death because there are not enough homes or places for them to go, meanwhile breeders are pumping them out faster than homes can be found. Stop the insanity and do the right thing.
Pennsylvania Dane Rescue is a first class rescue. Please donate to them today!
